Itinerary: (16 Day trip) Day 1: Beijing. Arrive in Beijing in the morning, after a warm welcome we will take you to the Heaven Temple, which is the former feudal emperor's family Temple. Spend the night in a 4 star hotel, Guangzhou Tower. Transportation: air conditioned bus. Day 2: Beijing sightseeing. The largest palace in the world--the Forbidden City will illustrate the luxury of China's ancient Emperors, and it's also the symbol of Chinese wisdom. You can see the royal gardens at the Summer Palace. Night at Guangzhou Tower. Day 3: Beijing/Chengdu. Fly to Chengdu in the morning. In the Center of Panda research Base you will be amused by the mischievous Giant Panda. Night in Yinhe Dynasty Hotel. (Four star) Transportation: a/c tour bus Day 4: Chengdu/Kangding (380 km) You can glimpse Sichuan Basin, which is called the land of Abundance, and you can see the snowy peaks of the Sichuan Mountains--snowy peak of Mt. Konkar (7661 m) in the distance. Night in Kangding Hotel. Transportation a/c tour bus. Day 5: Kangding/Litang (291 km) In this journey you will ascend the Zeduo Mountain (4298 m) then enter the ridge of the world--Tibet Plateau. In Litang you will have your first look at Tibetan Lamaism in Litang Great Monastery. Night in Litang Guest House. Transportation: a/c tour bus. Day 6: Litang/Sangdui/Daocheng (Shangri-La, Heaven on Earth) (201 m) In Sangdui you will see the most tremendous glacier in the Tibetan Plateau, where there are 1145 lakes in a place of 3200 square km. Night in Daocheng Hotel. Transportation: a/c tour bus. Day 7: Daocheng Sightseeing and Horseback Riding. Ride the bus to Rilong village, then ride horses to Chonggu Temple, During this journey you will see the unspoiled Tibetan holy mountains, lakes, well preserved primitive forests, and in the evening we will arrive at Chonggu Temple. Experience dancing around the fire and this evening camp out. Day 8: Chonggu Temple/Luorong Farm. Ride in the lovely snowy mountains Xuanlairi Mountain and Niulaicuo (the Milk Lake). Horseback riding. In the evening you will continue to camp. Day 9: Luorong Farm/Rilong Village. Riding horses to Rilong village, then board the tour bus and drive to Daocheng. Night in Hotel. Riding and tour bus. Day 10: Daocheng/Zhongdian. Zhongdian is also a place called Shangri-La by Tibetans, where you can see the great snowy Mt. Harba. Night in Shangri-La Hotel. Tour bus. Day 11: Zhongdian/Lijiang. In Zhongdian, the Hutiaoxia (the Tiger Gorge) is the deepest gorge in the world will show you its power and force through its surging waves. Night in Lijiang. Grant Hotel. (Three star) Day 12: Lijiang Sightseeing. Today the Venice of the East--Lijiang will show you an exotic feeling through its thousands of crossing streams and willows in the town. And the great Yulong Snowy Mountains, Beisha Fresco, Sifang Street will bring you into the archaic Naxi culture. Night in Lijiang. Grant Hotel. Tour bus. Day 13: Lijiang/Dali/Kumming. In Dali, the ancient Dali Town, Chongsheng Three Pagoda is exhibiting the genius of Bai nationality in architecture. Night in Kumming Yinghua Holiday Inn Hotel. (Four star) Tour bus. Day 14: Kunming . Sightseeing. Here we will lead you to nature's magic invention--Siling (the Stone Forest) then return to Kunming City. Night in Kunming Yinghua Holiday Inn Hotel. Tour bus. Day 15: Kunming/Shanghai. Fly to Shanghai in the morning. In the afternoon tour the beautiful Yuyuan garden and see the Delicacy of Southern Chinese gardening. You can experience the romance of the night in Bund. Night in the Rainbow Hotel (Four Star) Day 16: Departure. Fly home with many memories of your taste of China and many new friends.
